Diwali?fun?

Well its Diwali tomorrow(or eve of Diwali today :P ) and my family and I are doing absolutely nothing.NOTHING
Its not as if my family is a loner and all. They do get invited to parties,my mum is ready to go,but my dad just wants to stay at home -.- He isn't anti-social.He just wants to sit on the couch with all the savories my mum makes and watch the special programs that come on TV.
At least we used to go for dinner in the evening or something when my sister was here, but now we do nothing.
I think these would be one of the reasons that I would be happy about, if I shifted to India.I would be with my entire family and burn crackers :D
There was one time when we had a 1000000 walla(I'm not exactly sure what its called.but everyone adds a walla after it :P ) which took up the whole length of our street and the noise didn't stop for a whole of five minutes.I swear, I thought I was a bit deaf after that. They also have the flower pots, chakra and the bombs...
Sighhh* India is so fun during Diwali.
I really appreciate Singapore's concern for its residents, but its really pissing off.All that you get here are the sparklers and whistling sparklers.Whistling ones get kinda annoying at some point of time.Oh!and you have different colours too!Blue,Red,Green and Golden! How Jolly!-.- You get these weird chemical poppers also. You step on it once and then pops. Its not that good either.I guess its better than nothing. But still compared to India ,Singapore is nothing. We even used to have better fun in USA!we had amazing parties and amazing games.
My friend was actually supposed to have a party and then it got cancelled. I don't exactly know what happened.
Anyway, so tomorrow, my schedule will be- Wake up in the morning, shower, pray, eat and watch TV,dinner, sleep. How exciting -.-

Horror Movies

Horror movies is something that I love, but very afraid of.
I used to watch alot of horror movies till I watched Paranormal Activity. Some of my friends thought that it was the most stupidest horror movie and there was nothing in it.I still beg to differ and stick to it that it was shit scary.I couldnt sleep peacefully for about 2 months after watching it.I was so scared whether my dad or mum would stand next to my bed in my room and watch me for an hour :O how freaky would that be?
The after effects of that movie made me wash my legs every night (in Hindu religion, its written that if your feet are dirty you may have bad dreams),pray, check my ENTIRE house if there was any thing lurking somewhere(even if it did.Im not sure how I would face it? ) andd check under my bed if there was anything hiding.I was also really scared of looking into the mirror, afraid of looking at something that wasnt reality.
Honestly,I still do get pretty freaked out in the night if i think about the movie too much. :P
I know I must sound really stupid, but hey I bet everyone has their weak points? :P
Even though I might have found it really scary. Its one of my all time favourites in horror.Weird isnt it?
I have also watched The Omen, The Ring, The Dark,Nightmare on elms street,Childs play and many more.
Childs play is another movie that freaked me out alot.I watched it when I was pretty young (the age when I still liked playing with toys).I was scared that one of my dolls were gonna murder me and put their soul in my body-.- So I treated all my dolls with extra care then :P especially my Build a Bear teddy :D
Final Destination series is another horror series.I really dont take it in the category of horror.Just the concept of 'No one can escape death' is freaky, but other than that the movie is just full of gore. The way people die is very creative.I cant think of worse deaths than the deaths that people face in the film.
I guess I will still continue watching horror films, but not alone :P
I really dont know how to conclude in on this.I guess you should watch horror movies so it can get you prepared for whatever is out there? or maybe dont watch horror movies because they arent gonna make you sleep :P
Happy Halloween! :)
